Large Teddy Bears - KODIE, 54" Huge Teddy Bear

KODIE because of its extra large size is dedicated to the Kodiak bear, recognized as a distinct bear species living on Kodiak Island in Alaska. It frequently reaches a size double that of even the grizzly bear. While there have been some rare instances of mauling, there are no recorded deaths caused by the Kodiak bear, even though there are some 3,000 of them living on the island, often in close proximity to the people. Actually they are considered quite shy.

The Kodiak bear mothers look after their cubs until they're two years old, feeding them and teaching them to fend for themselves. The Kodiak bear fathers do what most males do in the animal kingdom and then go off by themselves to catch salmon, gather berries, and hibernate. The Kodiak bear has a unique place in the wildlife of America, and we have, therefore, dedicated KODIE, the largest of our plush animal Collection to the great HUGE Kodiak bear.
